Movement Mentors help Balance's Adult Family Home residents get out of the house for weekly walks around the neighborhood. This volunteer program helps Balance's residents stay active and connect with members of the community in a meaningful way.

Press Release: United Way of Northern Ozaukee Awards $15,000 Grant to Balance Inc. to Enhance Children's Social Skills Program.
United Way of Northern Ozaukee approved a $15,000 grant to Balance Inc. to support their Children's Social Skills Program. This grant will bolster the impactful efforts of Balance Inc. in providing essential services to children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within Ozaukee County.

For the third year, Balance Inc. is partnering with Sahale Ale Works, on a fundraising event that benefits individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Balance is a nonprofit that improves the quality of life for individuals with IDD by balancing support and independence.
This year’s event will be on May 18th at Sahale Ale Works in Grafton from 12 pm to 10 pm.
Sahale generously donates $1 per full pour of beer and $2 per beer flight sold during this event.
Balance at Mel’s Magic Moments 2024 Dance
Balance Adult Family Home residents attended Mel’s Charities annual Magic Moments dance. This “prom” for individuals with IDD is hosted by Mel’s Charities at Cedarburg High School. Cedarburg High School students cheered on the guests during an evening of dinner and dancing.
Spa day treat for Fransee Lane AFH residents
You may know Helen De Pasquale as a veteran DSP at Balance’s Adult Family Homes, but that is only one of her jobs!
Helen is also a licensed Massage Therapist and owns Nature’s Healing Day Spa in Germantown with her daughter Maria.
Balance receives a $6,700 grant from the Mequon Thiensville Junior Woman’s Club
Balance receives a $6700 grant from the Mequon Thiensville Junior Woman’s Club. This grant will provide transportation for our Children’s Summer Rec program that supports children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Ozaukee County.
Balance’s Valentine’s Day Dance at the Venue at Newport Shores
Balance’s Adult Day Program participants enjoyed a very special Valentine’s Day Dance at the Venue at Newport Shores in Port Washington. They got to dance the day away to live music courtesy of Dale and Penny from Acoustic Blu.
