Meet Balance’s Board of Directors

"I’m grateful to join the board of Balance Inc. Two of my granddaughters attend the day program, and I’ve seen how much it has enriched their lives by giving them meaningful community experiences and a sense of belonging.
Watching them grow in an environment where they are welcomed, supported, and included inspired me to get involved. I want to give back to the program that has given my family so much. I want to help ensure every participant continues to feel part of this wonderful community."

"I am honored to be a member of the Volunteer Board of Directors as I am incredibly impressed with the wonderful work that Balance has done and continues to do for participants in and with the surrounding community. My brother, Nate, means the world to me and seeing him thrive as a Balance resident and participant gives me a peace of mind that I could not have imagined for this stage in his life. Giving back to the organization is a privilege for me, and I hope that my presence on the Board positively shapes the direction of the organization and helps fuel the forward momentum towards even bigger and better pursuits.”

When I first joined PWSB, I didn’t know much about Balance. But once I learned how they support kids like my own sons, I knew it was the right fit for me.
Over the past eight years, I’ve seen our community truly embrace Balance’s mission to help people of all abilities live comfortable, fulfilling lives.
I have a deep appreciation for the staff who provide support 24 hours a day - many people don’t realize it’s not a charity where the doors can close at 5:00. We care for people who can’t be alone and that takes a world of effort, planning and incredible sacrifice.
I remain deeply committed to Balance, knowing that one day—when I’m no longer here to support my own children—organizations like this will be there to help them not just survive, but to be in a comfortable place that feels like home.
